ONLINE BOOKING COMING JANUARY 2027
Ready to get your pup looking and feeling their best?
You can book your grooming appointment online using the booking button below.
When booking, please provide as much information as possible about your dog, including their breed, size, coat type, grooming history, and what you are hoping to have done. This helps me better understand your dog and the time they may need.
Not sure what to book? No problem! If you’re unsure which service or appointment type is right for your dog, please reach out before booking. I’m always happy to help.
Every dog is different, and the same haircut does not work the same way on every dog.
Your dog’s coat type, texture, density, length, condition, lifestyle, behaviour, grooming history, and the style you want all play a role in what can realistically and safely be achieved during an appointment.
Sometimes the haircut you have in mind may need to be adjusted based on the condition of the coat, how your dog handles grooming, or how much time is available.
My goal is always to find a grooming style that keeps your dog healthy, comfortable, clean, and manageable, while working with their individual needs.
Regular grooming is about much more than keeping your dog looking good.
Dogs who require regular haircuts or have coats that are prone to tangling and matting generally benefit from a consistent grooming schedule throughout the year.
Regular grooming helps:
Prevent excessive matting and tangles
Maintain a healthy, manageable coat
Keep nails at a healthy length
Keep ears, paws, and sanitary areas maintained
Make grooming more comfortable and less overwhelming
Maintain a preferred haircut or style
Reduce the amount of coat that needs to be removed
Allow changes in the skin and coat to be noticed
Help your dog become more familiar and comfortable with the grooming process
For many dogs, a 4–6 week grooming schedule is a good starting point. Some dogs may need appointments more frequently depending on their coat, lifestyle, grooming style, and maintenance at home.
Grooming is not just something to think about when your dog becomes visibly overgrown. Consistent maintenance makes a big difference in both their comfort and their grooming experience.
Want to keep your dog long, fluffy, or in a more detailed style?
Regular maintenance is important.
A dog who is groomed every 4–6 weeks may be able to maintain a longer style, depending on their coat and how well it is maintained at home.
When several months pass between appointments, the coat is more likely to become overgrown, tangled, or matted. In those situations, a longer or more detailed style may no longer be realistic or comfortable.
Sometimes a shorter haircut is the safest and most comfortable option.
There is no shame in choosing a shorter style. My priority is always your dog's comfort and coat health.
The goal is to find a grooming style that works with:
Your dog's coat
Your dog's lifestyle
Their grooming tolerance
Your at-home maintenance routine
How frequently you are able to schedule professional grooming
Your dog's first few appointments are also an opportunity for me to learn about them.
I pay attention to things like:
How their coat grows and behaves
Coat texture and density
How they respond to bathing and drying
How they handle brushing and grooming tools
Areas they find more difficult
Their behaviour and comfort level
How much grooming time they typically require
How their coat looks between appointments
What styles are realistic for them
What works best for both you and your dog
As I get to know your dog, I can make better recommendations for their grooming style, maintenance routine, and appointment schedule.
Grooming can be a lot for a dog.
Some dogs are nervous about the table, dryer, clippers, brushing, nail trims, having their feet handled, or simply standing still for an extended period of time.
Fear, anxiety, excessive movement, difficulty standing, sensitivity to tools or noises, and previous negative grooming experiences can all affect how long an appointment takes and what can safely be accomplished.
I use gentle, low-stress handling and take your dog's comfort and safety seriously.
A calm and comfortable dog is easier to groom safely and a positive grooming experience can help build confidence over time.
Desensitization doesn't begin on the grooming table.
It starts at home.
There are many things you can do between grooming appointments to help your dog become more comfortable with being handled and groomed.
Depending on your dog's needs, this can include gently practicing:
Having their paws and feet handled
Touching their ears
Handling their face and muzzle
Brushing and combing
Standing calmly
Being touched around sensitive areas
Becoming comfortable around grooming tools
Hearing the sounds of clippers or other equipment
Getting used to vibrationÂ
Being around the sound of a dryer
Rewarding calm behaviour
I provide clients with information and suggestions they can use at home to help their dog become more comfortable with grooming.
It takes time.
Some dogs need many small, positive experiences before they become comfortable with certain parts of grooming. That's okay.
The goal isn't to force a dog through something they are afraid of. The goal is to gradually build trust, confidence, and positive associations with handling and grooming.
You at home + me at the salon = a better grooming experience for your dog.
The more comfortable your dog becomes with grooming-related handling at home, the more we can build on those skills during their professional appointments.
Reducing unnecessary stress and helping your dog feel more secure can support their overall physical and emotional well-being.
These short sessions are designed to help puppies and dogs become more comfortable with the grooming environment and process.
They can be helpful for:
Puppies
Dogs having their first professional groom
Newly adopted or rescue dogs
Nervous or fearful dogs
Dogs who have had negative grooming experiences
Senior dogs who need a slower, more comfortable introduction
Depending on the individual dog, a session may include:
Getting comfortable on the grooming table
Gentle handling
Brushing
Feet, ears, and face handling
Exposure to grooming tools
Clippers and vibration
Dryer exposure
Nail handling
Treats and positive reinforcement
A small tidy if the dog is comfortable
The goal is not to rush through a haircut.
The goal is to help your dog learn that grooming can be a safe and positive experience.
If you're unsure which service is right for your dog, please contact me before booking.
Tell me your dog's:
Breed or breed mix

You can also reach out through Facebook.
New clients are asked to complete the New Client Form before their first grooming appointment.
This gives me important information about your dog and helps me prepare for their visit.
Please have your dog's required vaccinations up to date and ensure they are on appropriate year-round flea and tick prevention.
Before booking, please keep in mind:
Grooming is priced based on time, rather than simply breed.
Hourly rates vary depending on your dog's size, coat type, density, and grooming needs.
Starting prices and estimated times are not guaranteed final prices.
Your dog's coat condition, behaviour, grooming history, desired style, and other factors can affect the total grooming time.
Deshedding and dematting are included in the grooming time rather than charged as separate per-minute fees.
Severe matting may require a shorter haircut for your dog's comfort and safety.
Longer and more detailed styles require regular professional grooming and consistent at-home maintenance.
Grooming schedules can affect the styles that can safely and realistically be maintained.
Your dog's comfort and safety always come before achieving a particular haircut.
Please review the Services & Pricing page and Policies before your appointment.
